The Junior Cambrian Choir is a delightful and enthusiastic group of children who enjoy making music for pleasure. The repertoire incorporates many styles of music including classical, novelty, sacred and musical theatre.
Today, the choir continues a winning tradition begun in 1931.
An objective of the Cambrian Choir organisation is for choristers to make singing a lifestyle choice, progressing from the Junior Choir to the Cambrian Youth Choir and then to the Senior Choir.
The Junior Cambrian Choir is a non-auditioned ensemble catering for children in Years 3 to 7.

Musical director: Michelle French
Accompanist: Bronwyn French
Given the age of the members, this choir does not travel too far for performances. Engagements are accepted in the Greater Ipswich area and, on occasion, in Brisbane.
The choir competes in local eisteddfodau and performs in its own concerts and mini musicals. One annual highlight is appearing in an outdoor carols performance in the grounds of Booval House with the Cambrian Youth Choir.
Regular rehearsals are conducted on Fridays during State school terms from 3:30 to 4:30pm at the Cambrian Centre. Some additional Sunday afternoon rehearsals may also be scheduled, as required, leading up to competitions or demanding performances.
Members will need a display folder to protect their music.
It is essential to advise of the unavailability of any member for rehearsals or performances.
