Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir - Coro Concorde

Coro Concorde

Established in 2013, Coro Concorde – the Harmony Choir – is the newest of the Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir ensembles.

With rehearsals on Wednesday mornings, the choir is designed to cater for adult singers from the Ipswich community who are unable, or find it difficult, to attend the evening rehearsals of the Senior Choir. Coro Concorde therefore has special appeal to shift workers, seniors, retirees and mothers with young children, allowing them to maintain their interest and participation in choral music rehearsal and performance. Singers who are not, or have not previously been, members of the Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir are most welcome to join the group.

The repertoire incorporates many styles of music including contemporary, evergreen, folk, novelty, sacred and musical theatre.

Coro Concorde rehearsals commence each year immediately after the Easter Queensland Eisteddfod and go through to the end of November. The group presents two very popular morning tea concerts each year, one in July and the other in November.

Coro Concorde is available for hire for special events.
