In the 160th Anniversary year of Ipswich’s St Paul’s Anglican Church, the Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir mark St Paul’s feast day with a performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s dramatic oratorio about this pillar of the early Christian church. From his early persecution of the church, to his conversion on the road to Damascus, to his travels and writings to early church centres, St Paul’s story is told through some of the most beautiful and dramatic vocal music ever written.
