As far back as 40,000 years ago, ancient man kept track of time using fairly sophisticated knowledge of the stars. The Phoenicians looked to the sun’s movement across the heavens to tell them their direction. Ancient sailors used the stars to help guide them while they were at sea. You are invited to join Coro Concorde as we celebrate all things celestial with a shining selection of songs bound to have you twinkling and sparkling with enjoyment. We’ll be singing the title song When You Wish Upon a Star as well as such well-known favourites as Moon River, Somewhere Out There, Blue Skies, Star Carol, Here Comes the Sun and more. There will be an “out of this world” morning tea served at interval, and raffles you will love “to the moon and back”. So please join us on May the 4th (be with you) as we navigate the musical cosmos of our love of the heavens and beyond.
